Stadtteilbad Huchenfeld — new indoor pool with children's area

When the leisure wave pool in Schellbronn is closed for the season or too cold outside, families often ask: where to go with the children? Since opening on 27 April 2025, Stadtteilbad Huchenfeld answers — a complete new build after more than six years without a pool in the district.

The Goldstadtbäder indoor pool combines a competition-ready 25-metre basin with movable floor and a separate, colourful children's area: paddling pool, water play equipment, beach and baby zone — ideal for toddlers who cannot join outdoor swimming in winter. Bright rooms, large windows and a 100-metre art glass façade make it one of Pforzheim's most modern baths.

From Das Bollenhut Haus, Huchenfeld is about 15 minutes by car (Am Heerweg 4). Not a wellness temple, but practical family swimming: lanes for adults, splashing for children — especially on rainy days, during winter holidays or when snow lies outside.

Schools and clubs also use the pool — public swimming times are therefore limited and may change. Tickets, prices and current bathing hours are on the Goldstadtbäder website; a quick online check before travelling is worthwhile.
