Schellbronn forest climate trail — climate stations & playground
Experience trail through Schellbronn forest: climate stations, app quiz, Holzhauer hut and a large forest playground — family-friendly on the Biet plateau.
The Waldklimapfad near Schellbronn is an experience trail in the pine forest — playful rather than dry lecturing: stations explain climate, forest and nature, with surprises along the way such as the nest tree, climbing frame and gnome forest.

The loop is about 3.5 kilometres and works well with children. Start at the Waldklimapfad sign near the sports ground of 1. FC Schellbronn (Hohenwarter Straße). Park at the sports ground, then follow the markers into the woods.
Especially popular: the large forest playground en route — climbing frames, balance stations and the lookout at Holzhauer hut. Many families combine the trail with a break at the pavilion at Hartäcker overlooking the Monbach valley.

The municipality of Neuhausen and Enzkreis developed the trail; the Walderlebnis Enzkreis app offers a quiz at the stations (Android/iOS). Entry is free — ideal for a morning between rainy days or after the wave pool on Freibadweg.
From the Schellbronn holiday village the trail is a few minutes away — walk towards the sports ground or drive briefly. Sturdy shoes are enough; strollers are possible on much of the route. Find the GPX track with interactive map at the top of this page — municipality info and app quiz on the Enzkreis website.
